Sundays Sept. 7 through Oct. 5, 2025 3:00 p.m. – Truth First Film Alliance is proud co-sponsor of the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities' Gordon Ney Jewish Film Series 2025. The series kicks off Sunday, Sept. 7 and runs through Oct. 5th. This year three outstanding narrative films and a documentary will be showcased at the Figge Art Museum Theater, 225 W. 2nd St., Davenport, IA. Tickets available on day of show. $7+

Sunday, August 24, 2025 2:00 p.m. Truth First Film Alliance is a proud supporter of the German American Heritage Center's opening film "Cinema's Exiles: From Hitler to Hollywood" directed and produced by Karen Thomas. The 2-hour documentary kicks off the film series and screens at the German American Heritage Museum, 712 W 2nd St, Davenport, IA. Kaffee and Kuchen will take place at 1:30 p.m., followed by the film and discussion. Local Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmakers Tammy and Kelly Rundle of Fourth Wall Films and co-executive directors of Truth First Film Alliance will lead the discussion about some of the most influential films, actors and directors of this time. Tickets are FREE for members of GAHCM; $8 for non-members.

Sunday, October 6, 2024 1:00 p.m. Fact vs Fiction & 'Road to Perdition' Truth First Film Alliance is proud to partner with the Putnam Museumand co-sponsors the Bix Jazz Society and the Northwest Illinois Film Office to present Fact vs Fiction & “Road to Perdition on Sunday, October 6th in the National Geographic Giant Screen Theater. The FREE event features a 1920s jazz performance by The Josh Duffee Jazz Trio, 1920s antique cars, artifacts on display, and a pre-show John Looney history montage by artist Bruce Walters. In addition to the Giant Screen presentation of the Oscar-winning “Road to Perdition”, for the first time Max Allan Collins and Roger Ruthhart will share the stage for a post-screening discussion and Q&A moderated by TFFA's Travis Shepherd.

Collins is the author of the graphic novel “Road to Perdition”, and Ruthhart is the co-author of “Citadel of Sin”, a non-fiction account of the Rock Island's John Looney gangster story. Audience members will learn what parts of the movie story are based on real events, and hear how Ruthhart uncovered a stranger-than-fiction local true story, and how Collins adapted the true story into a Rock Island-to-Hollywood work of fiction.

Sunday, March 3, 2024 3:00 p.m. – Truth First Film Alliance is proud to support the QC Environmental Film Series presentation of "We The Power” at the Figge Art Museum, 225 W. 2nd St., Davenport, IA. “Who Are the Marcuses?” The documentary looks at the lives of Holocaust survivors, Lottie and Howard Marcus, an unassuming couple from Great Neck, N.Y. Their surprising donation of $500 million to Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, the academic Israeli institution that furthers water technology research, inspired peace and climate action. The film is hosted by the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities.
