QC Environmental Film Series 2026 showcases 7 excellent documentaries Jan. 18-March 1

  The  7th Annual QC Environmental Film Series  kicks off on Sundays from Jan. 18 to March 1 at the  St. Ambrose Galvin Fine Arts Center theater , 2101 Gaines Street in Davenport. Film presentations begin at 3 p.m. But attendees are invited to join in on ENVIRO Connect networking opportunities at 2 p.m. (prior to the showings). A special Reflection Speaker will follow the film. The first film,  Out There: A National Parks Story , will be shown  Sunday, Jan. 18 . The documentary chronicles what began as a summer road trip as it becomes a seven-year odyssey, capturing untold stories of those who protect, visit, and find healing in the parks. (75 minutes) Effigy Mounds National Monument  Superintendent Susan Snow will be the Reflection Speaker after the film screening. WQPT-PBS airs 4-H in the City's "Salute to Service" on Pearl Harbor Day

4-H in the City's award-winning documentary "Salute to Service" is set to air on WQPT-PBS on Sunday, December 7th , Pearl Harbor Day, at 4 PM  and again at about 5:45 PM, and then again on December 11 at 9 PM. Led by  4-H Leader Lori Tharp , Club Members Maya Boehle, Olivia Boehle, Nadiya Hernandez, Emily Herrick, Noah Herrick, Kolbie Pettit and  Carter Tharp spent approximately one year planning and producing the documentary featuring seven Quad Cities Veterans who shared their memories and experiences: SGT Robert Douglas (Marine) SPC Fred L. Hernandez (Army) Col. 4-H in the City's "Salute to Service" premieres Saturday, October 25

Team  4-H in the City and leader Lori Tharp was on KWQC's Quad Cities Live! talking about their award-winning documentary "Salute to Service". The short documentary premieres Saturday, Oct. 25th at 1:00 p.m. at the Moline Public Library, 3210 41st St, Moline, IL. Q&A with the Veterans featured in the film and the filmmakers will follow! FREE to the public. Truth First Film Alliance was a proud sponsor of this year-long project, with TFFA co-executive directors Kelly and Tammy Rundle mentoring the Clubbers through development and production. "Cinema's Exiles: From Hitler to Hollywood" Documentary opens German American Heritage Center's Film Series

Truth First Film Alliance is a proud supporter of the German American Heritage Center's opening film   "Cinema's Exiles: From Hitler to Hollywood"   directed and produced by Karen Thomas. The 2-hour documentary kicks off the film series and screens Sunday, August 24 at the German American Heritage Museum, 712 W 2nd St, Davenport, IA. Kaffee and Kuchen will take place at 1:30 p.m., followed by the film and discussion. Local Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmakers Tammy and Kelly Rundle of Fourth Wall Films will lead the discussion about some of the most influential films, actors and directors of this time. Tickets are FREE for members of GAHCM; $8 for non-members. The film series will be held at the  Last Picture House  in Davenport, Iowa. This year three outstanding narrative films and a documentary will be showcased at the Figge Art Museum Theater, 225 W. 2nd St., Davenport, Iowa.
